All in the name of research

We were delighted when, following a five way pitch, we were selected by Aldermore Bank to deliver their annual conference later this year. Aldermore is one of the new breed of ‘challenger’ banks that have emerged since the banking crisis and are focused on supporting SMEs in particular. They floated on the London Stock Exchange in 2015 and have recently joined the FTSE 250.

With over 800 employees expected to attend the two day conference is no small thing, so we’ve partnered with event specialists MCL Create to deliver the event staging, lighting, sound and video while we focus on the creative concept which the comms team at Aldermore were so impressed with. This includes the overall theme, pre-event marketing, design work, presentations, merchandising and all the collateral on the day.

The chosen venue is the Hilton Metropole at the NEC which, as luck would have it, has just celebrated its 40th anniversary. The Hilton and MCL were kind enough to invite us to the party which was a great night out… or rather it gave us the opportunity to carry out some in depth research. Naturally, as part of thoroughly checking out the venue, we had to sample the catering, bar service and entertainment. We’re delighted to report that it was all excellent, even the Abba cover band, although we’re not sure Aldermore would go for Dancing Queen after the CEO’s closing statement.
